If Tech and LSUS merge and become one school, then they should open up CO-OP programs for kids who are interested in business, finance, and engineering. The kids could go to school for six months and work in Shreveport for six months. It would help students who don't have affluent parents with lots of money saved up for their kids' educations.

Bad idea. LSUS can do way better without Tech.

It looks like the Louisiana legislature is not going to approve the Tech/LSUS merger at this time.

They didn't have the floor votes to approve the merger after heavy lobbying by LSU system people.
The same LSU people would probably be for the merger if it were going to all be within the LSU system instead of the UL system.
