Hard to believe it's been 35 years since I awoke to the news on Good Morning America about the crash. They still play their songs constantly. This is testament to their talent and hard work. I've always thought it somewhat ironic that 98% of all Americans have heard the song, "Sweet Home Alabama", but 98% of Americans couldn't tell you the name of the lead singer singing this song.....this Anthem for America that NO ONE dislikes. He was known as Ronnie Van Zant and he was a musical genius.
