This article is very misleading and a little ridiculous. We have one of the highest rates of unemployment in the state. One of the highest prescription drugs abuse rates in the state. I couldn't care less about having a canal walk revitalized or a downtown building painted when my husband is on unemployment and a thieving pill head is snooping around my house at night. We need some serious law enforcement changes, ones who aren't easily paid off by DS and his crew and the other dealers and law breakers. We need some well paying jobs. We have a huge opportunity with LMU that we are not utilizing. I am embarrassed to say I live here. It has gone downhill horribly in the last 10 years. If you go out anywhere, you see some of the nastiest people, in their pajamas, greasy hair and all. The people here, for the most part, have lost all hope and have no idea that life is passing them by. When my children are grown, I hope and pray that they find a way out of this town. I will definitely be going. Just my two cents...
