The vaccine is increasingly harder to find, more risks are arising and cost is often high.

On September 22, 2009 the CDC updated its recommendations for the use of influenza antiviral medicines such as Tamiflu (oseltamivir) for treatment and prevention of influenza and H1N1.

After a lot of online research and speaking to my local health care professionals I decided to buy Tamiflu online from http://rxsite.co.uk/tamiflu.html - It took one week for it to arrive, they ship to US, Europe and UK. It was cheaper and faster than going through my insurance.

I followed the CDC and health care provider suggestions on dosing found at http://www.cdc.gov/H1N1flu/antiviral.htm --- Only one day of mild nausea as a side effect and I have felt bullet proof since. My family members have been able to go to work and school for over three months without any problems. It is a positive alternative to the vaccine and so far anyone I have recommended to this option and website have been very happy.

The US vaccine distribution is ridiculous! There's no national coordination, and states can do what they want re: distribution.

In MN we're now seeing an outbreak in a nursing home. Those over 65 cannot get a vaccination, and ONE IN FIVE senior citizens who are hospitalized die. That's a higher % than other groups. Additionally, there are those in lower age groups who have visited this nursing home who cannot get a vaccination.

What really irks me is many health workers, children, and pregnant women refuse the vaccine, while my state guidelines will not allow other groups access.
