Sounds like something Boucher would be involved in. Go to Grundy and look at the hundreds of millions he wasted.

Not a lie at all. Rep. Griffith and Gov. McDonnell were here for the big bill signing ceremony last fall. I think getting a medical school here will be good for the area, maybe get some doctors to stick around.

It will be something for the future, there would be more doctors..the kids here wouldn't have to go to Johnson city Tenn. or to some other state to get an education. It will bring more things to the area, more business.
Can't farmers children get grants to go to college, the tobacco growers children?

The average cost of medical school is somewhere between $30,000 and $60,000 a year. It would have to be a pretty big grant for any of the farmers I know to send their children unless they mortgage the farm. Watch what is happening to small farmers today. They get old and sick and before long the family farm is sold to pay the medical bills. Basically the farmers tobacco money is being spent to train people who will later take everything else they have. The medical system is a black hole that 30%+ of our economy is being sucked into.
