"Obviously, to equate Geronimo with Osama bin Laden is an unpardonable slander of Native America and its most famous leader in history,"

Obviously, they haven't a clue.

They should be honored that Geronimo's name was used to represent the greatest execution of justice in the history of the nation.

You admitting your racism regarding black people - who you admit to calling "negros" - sheds more light on this matter of the US military - which committed genocide against Native Americans - naming a hit after a Native American leader.

The twisted, Tea Bagger, racist logic that having a colonized Native American's name used as a code for having killed someone would be an honor to Native Americans says it all.

Your history books are full of half-truths... You should read the book, "Lies my teacher told me". Very thought provoking.

The name "Geronimo" does not belong to USA. It belongs to the Apache people and his family. The US should have asked permission to use his name.

ge-ron-i-mo is a set of phonemes. It belongs to no one. Just like hoc-key or pete. You don't own the sound. You communicate with it, it's part of the lexicon.
It's silly to claim that a tribe "owns" the name, as if it a copyrighted piece of work or a patented product. It's neither.
Certainly no offense was meant by the use of the word geronimo. The Apache people and especially those who have that surname should be proud of its use. To try to claim damages is opportunistic and dishonorable. To whine about it is a case of PC run amok.
Are Canadian textbooks pure and devoid of the type of half truths and lies in America's?

The "greatest execution of justice"?!?

I remember a time not so long ago when the American judicial system was praised for having as one of its core principles the "presumption of innocence" until evidence was presented and guilt proven.

Even our FBI admits that it has no hard evidence linking Osama bin Laden to the 9/11 attack. In fact, there's a great deal of evidence indicating that the attack was actually a false-flag covert operation by insiders within our own government and military.

You apparently don't have a clue about those things that supposedly distinguished this nation once upon a time.
