Former Indiana State University student convicted in man's killing
<![CDATA[TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) -- A western Indiana jury has convicted a former Indiana State University student in the shooting death of a man in a campus parking lot. The Vigo County jury deliberated for about three hours Thursday before finding 22-year-old William Mallory guilty of murder in the August 2012 shooting death of 24-year-old Dustin Kelly. Police have said Mallory, then an ISU student, opened fire following a disagreement in a bar across the street from the parking lot. Two other men were wounded in the shooting. The shootings occurred in an ISU-owned parking lot outside the tavern as patrons were leaving the area. The Tribune-Star reports (http://bit.ly/1fZCDQP ) a judge set a Nov. 22 sentencing for Mallory, who faces a maximum of about 165 years in prison.
