Actually, Bennett has systematically worked on fixing the city to position it so that we have a future. His plans are out there, but perhaps people haven't been paying attention. Perhaps he needs to gloat a little more. Afterall, people have been used to that before he got into office. I certainly fell for the Burke "charm".
What, EXACTLY, are Fred's innovative ideas for Terre Haute's future? I've heard nothing but typical campaign rhetoric. Please enlighten me.
I, too, have payed attention, but can't name anything he has done or plans to do. And his choices to run the police and fire departments have proven abysmal.

Everyone wants to point fingers and pull apart what the others are doing or not doing... May the best man win, may he be honest, upstanding and demonstrate loyalty by following through with bringing the City of Terre Haute in a better direction! Nobody is perfect but we all need to remember, that WE the PEOPLE elect those who run our city!!!
My vote in the primary will be for MICK LOVE! Yes, I am on the LOVE train!!

Who is Dirk Joy? And how does someone who looks like someone else have anything to do with running a city?
Common folk representing common folk is a win/win or should we have money hungry favor doers running the city the same? It's time for change!

I heard Fred's first prioity is shutting down the Ellis boys slum apartments. Second, to ban those garish red and yellow signs on Wabash advertising for "Thieves are Us". Third, pass an ordinance prescribing punishment for tree molesters requiring them to use their sweet soft hands to split oak staves (40 hours per assaulted tree).

A platform like that would get my vote....and probably a great deal more.

That's what they say everytime, time for a change, time for a change! Then the first time when the turds don't get their way from they guy they helped put in then they'll want his ass out too! When will people grow up and realize it's about more than just THEM and give somebody at chance at more than just one term so they can get some REAL progress instead of just the 4 year express lane.

Oh Naked Boxer dont be a shill for our favorite thieves and dont bring their poor wives into it either. Oh and what a sucess they have been in our community. Lets see 0-for whatever in electability, cited by the Disciplinary Commission due to stealing from clients, involved in every illicit anonomous campaign rag published the past 10 years. They indeed have been a point of pride for the Wabash Valley. And by the way....are you the Naked Boxer that french kissed the 14 year old?

I too am very interested in hearing Fred's 'progressive' vision. Burke has bonded the City to the limit and sorry Fred, there is no money for your vision. But first, I would really like to hear what that is.

I understand Fred is opposed to placing sewage lagoons appurtenant to the river. I suppose that he also supports actually cleaning up the town (sounds like a radical agenda). By the way, our favorite thieves (the Ellis boys) are out in full support of Mick Love in the primary. An inspection of the signs on 3rd Street will attest to this fact. Mick doesnt understand that if he were to win the primary, the Ellis boys would drop him and return their support to Duke Bennett. Ah yes, our favorite attorneys who leave a trail that suggests the passing of two 220 pound wood slugs.

I hope you people plan to back Fred Nation. I know I am, because I know for a fact if Love gets into office he is going to make Jeff Trotter (a complete idiot) the assistant cheif of police and Keith Mowbray-one who damages his girlfriends house and then calls 911 telling them not to send a police unit to her house if she calls 911. Why would you want someone in office like this? Imagine what he would or wouldn't do for you to cover his ass. If he's that sneaky now, I would hate to see what he would do with more power. Hope none of you have a protective order against him!

Oh yeah, or keep Duke in there. What a good leader he is, he can't even raise his kids right..How many wrecks has his daughter been in and been high on pills and she babysits children for a living and works at Showmes? Give me a break, oh and daddy took care of her jail sentence.

Voters need ways to cut past all of the lies and intrigue surrounding any race the Ellis brothers take an interest in.

If you're still wondering who to vote for in tomorrow's Democratic mayoral primary, why not consider what the candidates say about themselves?

Here are links to interviews with each of the three candidates in tomorrow's race: Fred Nation, Mick Love and Clarence Soughers.

They are all on WTHI's web site.

Watch 'em all before you vote tomorrow.
