It is a huge challenge for parents to enforce time limits because we have a conflict of interest - when kids are on the computer/TV we get quiet uninterrupted time in the house. Kids also put up a fight when parents try to enforce limits, and this isn't fun for anyone. I end up feeling guilty when I let my kids stay on the computer for hours at a time. I built and now use a simple timer program that lets me set time limits (like 1 hour/weekday and no more than 30 minutes at one sitting). The program gives the kids audible reminders like "5 minutes left" and logs them off when their time is up. It has ended all the fighting over computer time in our house. To my mind, one of the main reasons of childhood obesity in USA is that practically all children spend their leisure time surfing the internet or gaming. As my kids are tempted to stay inside rather than playing and exercising outdoors, I use parental control software Ez Internet Timer and the problem is resolved. My kid has no reason to complain, because we all agreed on how much time he would have on the computer each night. I don't have to watch the clock, and my son is learning a little something about time management. If anyone's interested check out the site here http://www.internettimer.net

Thank you folks for the Ez Internet Timer. It does seem to be a program worth considering. I downloaded the program from thir website. Awesome software from the first glance. If my 12 year old guru didn't break it during it 2 weeks of trial, I will buy it. Thank you again!

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Aquarius

You will not be satisfied in your work place, but give it some time and things will fall into place. Those in the construction business should get some good news. Aquarian homebodies will find things rather hectic and may develop a headache by the end of the day, so you should avoid negative thinking as much as possible.
