LOL. Seriously.
The issue of First Lady Obama's acceptance of her honorary membership for Alpha Kappa Alpha is an acceptable and significant if one understands that struggles that AKA and Delta Sigma Theta endured to ensure equality and justice for all. For African American females, the unification of all socorities is a must, and to have the First Lady accept her place with fellow sisters plays a signficant part of our growth in this country, since it was DC where both sorities began their plight. So, please do not attempt to minimize her decision, for among all sisters, we are honored.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is the most prestigious black Greek letter sorority. For the record, Eleanor Roosevelt and Michele Obama are both members. We do have Caucasian members in our sorority. But, yes, it is predominately black, as it was created for the advancement of black woman and to serve all mankind.
As the bruh posted, unless you are apart of the organization, don't judge or criticize. We do more in community service and community outreach than most organization combined. Because of us, we have provided millions of dollars in college scholarships to students who otherwise would not have gone to college.
We have partnered with organizations like the American Cancer Society, America Kidney Fund, American Diabetes Association, NIH, American Cancer Society, Heifer, the list goes on.
We do real work in our communities, it's not about being pretty in pink. We work hard to build communities and build leaders.
So if you don't know, ask! If you're too ignorant to ask or research, shut up!
