Hofstra debate could be McCain's last chance

Barack Obama and John McCain fired their sharpest in-person attacks of the presidential campaign during Wednesday night's presidential debate at Hofstra University .

After moderator Bob Schieffer asked the senators about the increasingly nasty tone of the campaign, McCain for the first time challenged Obama about his association with the 1960s radical Bill Ayers and Acorn, the liberal voter registration group.

Seems like many viewers saw and heard what they wanted to in this debate. The deciding votes will come from the undecided.

The deciding votes will not come from the undecided. Polls have been showing the decided vote all along.

But please dont jinx us Illinois. I am a little superstitious. lol.

I know how the Republicans are trying very hard to rig the election again.

So instead of celebrating, please volunteer to watchdog in your town.

A lot of rich a-holes stand to lose a lot if Obama wins. If someone is making 250,000 and up, then you know they are living beyond their means and it takes dirty politics to refuel the bank account. McCain is one of those people. 13 cars, many homes.

I turned tonight! What a weight off my feeble mind! Heck Fire! I can refinance my mortgage and actually double my loan to more than the house is worth, and get more money back under the Obama plan. We're talking new boat, new car, awesome vacation(s), etc. It's all about me -#1! This is a great country! Spread the wealth around just like Palin did in Alaska! Yeah baby! Yahoo!

In November 1960 11 days after the election there were 12 Federal Ballot boxes fished out of the Chicago River. Upon inspection it was determined that Richard Nixon had actually taken Chicago which gave him the State of Illinois and the election.

The Chappaquiddick incident refers to the circumstances surrounding the 1969 death of Mary Jo Kopechne, a former staff member in Senator Robert F. Kennedy's 1968 presidential campaign.

Democratic Rep. Mike Kernell of Tennessee has acknowledged that his 20-year son, David Kernell, is the subject of Internet postings alleging he is the person who hacked into Sarah Palin's e-mail, according to The Tennesseean.

Democratic Senator Hollis French anounced an October Surprise in the Troopergate investigation BEFORE the investigation even got started. The Senator French took it upon himself to insure the Gov. Palin was found guilt.

Same as last debate. McCain didn't appear to do/say anything that's going to make up the ground he needs to make up.

Three weeks left. Just wonder if his campaign will become even more negative....though that's hard to imagine that it could become more negative than it already has.

Oh yes, it will become more negative.

Desperation breeds it and the repugrats will question what toothpaste Obama uses and will continue to grovel in the muck and mire of the repugrat mud.

Election day will not come soon enough for me!

McCain looked so tense during the debate, and nothing to do with his injuries from Vietnam. He interrupted so many times and really looked pissed off. He definitely doesn't like Obama, that's clear by all the faces he made during the debate.

I think it was a fairly even debate over the REAL issues, and McCain didn't do anything to make up ground in the states still hanging in the balance.

I wonder what face he'll pull as he gives his speech concedes the election.

When I fundamentally hear that "both candidates need to stop being negative," I get a tinge of frustration. What people either don't realize or don't want to say is that it is the McCain-Palin ticket that has "gone negative," Obama is simply responding to it. I have yet to see a point when Obama has needlessly attacked McCain on a topic of any kind (much less on a topic of little importance like Ayers). This can fundamentally be linked to the philosophy of both the current Bush Administration and the republican ideology as a whole. This false perception of a threat which leads to an unjustified attack can be analogized to the Bush Administration's philosophy for the last eight years and this is the McCain-Bush relationship that is very real. It is the state of mind and thought towards the external world that ties Bush and McCain together.

Negative like how? Or do you feel telling the truth about Barry Soetoro AKA Barrack Hussein Obama is negative campaigning?
