Prime Minister Stephen Harper and senior members of his cabinet are accelerating efforts to promote free trade and Canada's energy exports through an international charm offensive, arguing that economic prosperity is on the line.

But certainly he promotes corporate sponsors of his party to the detriment of the country and the environment. His most egregious policy is to dismantle independent science and replace it with 'streamlined study groups' charged with finding the answers he wants or at least being totally silent about any problems.

It is more that Stephen Harper does anything he can to promote Stephen Harper, including selling out Canada's industry and energy sectors to foreign corporations. I assume he expects to get on their boards after the coming political apocalypse.
