yeap and in 1944 after the SCOTUS issued its ruling in United States v. South-Eastern Underwriters Association that stated that the US Federal Government could regulate insurance companies under the authority of the Commerce Clause in the U.S. Constitution including the newly created Employer sponsered Health Insurance So the Democrats in Congress passed and FDR Signed into Law the McCarran–Ferguson Act which provides that federal anti-trust laws will not apply to the "business of insurance" as long as the state regulates in that area, but federal anti-trust laws will apply in cases of boycott, coercion, and intimidation. By contrast, most other federal laws will not apply to insurance whether the states regulate in that area or not so the Federal Government could not regulate the newly created Employer sponsered Health Insurance and later would create what we know as of today the Health Insurance Industry which the Democrats are fully responsible for the mess and the Direction the Health Insurance Industry has taken and now the Democrats want to regulate the Health Insurance Industry at the Federal Level.

Stabilization Act of 1942 formally entitled "An Act to Amend the Emergency Price Control Act of 1942" is what gave FDR the authority to issue Executive Order 9250 Establishing the Office of Economic Stabilization with TITLE II Wage and Salary Stabilization Policy.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stabilization_Ac...

One consequence of the wage stabilization under the Act was that employers, unable to provide higher salaries to attract or retain employees, began to offer insurance plans, including health care packages, as a fringe benefit, thereby beginning the practice of employer-sponsored health insurance.

Legislative action by conservatives paints another picture, you are in deep denial! Liberals want to give people the freedom to make their own choices as opposed to conservatives who are literally obsessed with controlling people especially women or anyone that refuses to go along with their prehistoric ideology!
Liberals want to give people choices? LOL...how fresh is that Francis? Didn't California majority vote against queers and dykes marrying each other? How did that work out for that amjority? Overridden by libtardians...but stick with your greek mythology, it is amusing...

Hey, here's one for you...in liberal Illinois no less...
The final state with a ban on concealed weapons has dropped it—just in time to beat a federal deadline. Lawmakers in the Illinois House and Senate, fearing a firearms free-for-all if they failed to act, voted by hefty margins to override Gov. Pat Quinn's veto and pass a new gun law, the Chicago Tribune reports. Quinn had been holding out for changes including limiting carriers to one gun at a time and banning guns in establishment that serve alcohol.

Any Illinois resident with a Firearm Owner's Identification card can now get a concealed-carry permit for $150 if they have passed a background check and undergone 16 hours of safety training, the AP reports. "This is a historic, significant day for law-abiding gun owners," said Rep. Brandon Phelps, a Democrat who has been fighting for a concealed-carry law for a decade. "They finally get to exercise their second amendment rights."

Wingnuz ignorance has no limits, first, my post has nothing to do with debt and second, gov't debt is by design why do you think investors buy Treasury bills, notes, and bonds, as well as U.S. Savings Bonds - clueless moron!!!!
And, by the way, Jackson paid off the national debt by selling national land - a stupid move!

Debt is by design? LOL, now that is original ol' boi...next you are going to try to convince me that we need more laws against drunk drivers...even in spite of what we know to be reality...

All I have to say is Please take care of yourself out on the roads this season, Frankeh. A recent study conducted by the Department of Health and the Department of Motor Vehicle indicates that 23% of traffic accidents are alcohol related.

This means that the remaining 77% are caused by assholes who drink bottled water, starbucks, coke, juice, energy drinks and shit like that!

Therefore beware of those who do NOT drink alcohol. Those asshole types cause three times as many as accidents. This message is sent to you, francis, because I care about your safety….

Yes my ignorant wingnuz friend, every time the Gov't sell bonds or treasury bills to china or to you or me - the Gov't goes into debt by design! You seem to be one of the wingnuz morons who doesn't understand the difference between the deficit and the national debt!!?

This is the first post you attempt to provide something to support your position. I don't where you an attempt to spin the deficit.

Why was it bad that Jackson sold land to pay off the National debt? Too bad there is not enough tangible thing we could sell citizens to get rid of the debt now.

Okay ignoramus, I will give you a hint so you can at least brag to your fellow drunks at the bar. It created a land boom as a result, the land boom busted and the banking system collapsed in the Panic of 1837. How did the federal government come to have all this land to sell? Why, by removing the people who lived on it, en masse. The expulsion of Native Americans from the southeastern United States serves as a sizable black mark on our country’s history. 200,000 Native Americans were removed and thousands of native people died on the forced trek west, known as the Trail of Tears.

I really hope you don't own firearms, you are too angry of a person.
I don't drink.
Yes I know history, and the sale of the land was partially responsible, and there were other factors. The Trail of Tears is a blackmark on our history, just as all of the other abuses that have been carried out by our government. Anytime the principles of freedom are ignored for a perceived better good, another black mark is added. Those who joyously support and enable those actions share in the shame.
People like you, leftists who degenerate others for standing against abuse of freedoms ate willing to repeat the past. You think it is for the better good, forgetting the principles that we were founded on.
You have yet to show where my premise that firearm laws in this Country are historically based in racism is wrong. That debate is closer to the thread topic. I do want to here your angry rebuttal.

Deficit is spending more than you take in. Debt is the result of borrowing to "fix" the deficit.

The debt is the result of the deficit, and the deficit fuels debt.

Now back to the thread, you claimed I was wrong in my assertion gun control is racist, yet you show nothing to dispute.

Typical leftists, easily distracted, prone to racism, and too ignorant to know it.

Ok. Now explain what on that video Zimmerman did not do. He obviously took the concealed carry course to obtain his license. This is a guy that wanted to be a police officer, and spent the extra time learning firearm safety, the laws pertaining to firearms, and proper carry procedure. He was not wearing anything advertising that he was carrying. He obviously carried his firearm in such a way that he could get to it when needed. He never unholstered his firearm until he was attacked and was in fear for his life.

Please explain exactly what would have been different about the Martin shooting had Zimmerman watched this video. Hell, he may have watched this video, or one very similar. You are grasping at straws. You want to live in a world were the black guy is always right, the black guy deserves special consideration, and the black guy always comes out on top, or the other guy was negligent, guilty, or liable in some way.
