Occupy Wall Street: 'Protest Chaplains' Shepherd Movement's Spiritual Side

There are 87 comments on the www.huffingtonpost.com story from Oct 27, 2011, titled Occupy Wall Street: 'Protest Chaplains' Shepherd Movement's Spiritual Side. In it, www.huffingtonpost.com reports that:

As waves of demonstrators descended on New York City to protest corporate greed, they were met by typical sounds of raucous youth-led protests: drum beats, police sirens and shouted political slogans.

They didn't expect to hear hymns.

Yet protestors rounding the corner of Zuccotti Park encountered dozens of white-robed worshipers singing spirituals and blessing the demonstrators while holding signs reading "Blessed are the poor" and brandishing handmade Christian crosses.

There are still a lot of paper communists in academia. It goods good on paper apparently, and some profs just love it.

Not sure about Barack, but I think Mrs. O is in this communist, black separatist bring on the NOI mode. Maybe she just allows herself more freedom to speak her private opinion.

I read she wants to encourage ebonics. Crazy. When I was a little kid, US regional accents were incredibly thick, most immigrants spoke very poor English, and the AAs were a group unto themselves, thrown to one side.

Many of the people saying bring back communsim would be the first ones killed by the communists. They hated intellectual independent thinkers.

Hmmm.

What's right and what's wrong here?

Who is "God" protecting from the Govt?....Wall Street barons, fat-cats and bankers?

They already OWN the govt, or at least it's members.

Them hard working, well educated, cash strapped and underemployed "occupiers" don't know what there up against. I like a good challenge, I think I'll join em.

Interesting, perchance you can deliver them a message also. Something akin to having a protocol with real demands and objectives. Other than getting on the news.

Yeah, because judging an entire group by the actions of one person doesn't make you look like an absolute penis. No, really, it doesn't.
