Does anyone really think that a criminal or a violently insane person is going to trade their gun for a $50 Stop and Shop gift certificate. This program is yet another liberal feel good, but do nothing program. How about putting the money into more prisons, agressive enforcement of current laws, and institutions for the violently insane. With all the studies also going on, why don't the libs do a study on how many juvenile delinquents are caught with illegal guns, and then merely released only to commit more crimes. One of the real problems is the lib "slap on the wrist" punishment in the criminal justice system.
