Allendale Township referendum targets new zoning rules on planned-unit developments

Opponents of a new township zoning ordinance say they are uncomfortable with how the move could change "the character and the landscape of Allendale." Township officials this week verified 743 signatures on a referendum petition aimed at revoking new rules governing planned-unit developments, including student housing projects.

Allendale is growing and thats a good thing, I would like to see a movie theather come to our town.The college needs housing and the students bring money into our town.You have to grow with the times.
