If a girl is a "slut" for wanting access to birth control, what does it make Rush Limbaugh when he gets caught with illegal Viagra pills after soliciting hookers in the Dominican Republic?

I like Twinkies. I think the government should provide them to me at taxpayer expense.

Limbaugh is paying for his own activities. Why should anyone have to pay for another's life style.

it's not about her or anyone else's lifestyle, it's a health issue.

once again conservatives demonstrate that their entire way of thinking is based on ignorance and selfishness.

Too bad Rush Limbaugh wouldn't know the truth if it stared him in the face. What a scumbag. He was just blindly casting aspersions because a young lady had the courage to take a stand for women's health issues.

The insurance covers the pills when used to treat a disease. I know it covers the cysts on your list. Why should insurance cover the pills when there is no disease to treat? Where's the health issue?

Why does the reason for the perscription matter? A doctor wrote the script, that should be good enough..........Or do you want palin's "death panels"...where everything needs to be approved again by the government?

The reason is disease or not disease. Contraceptives are available and covered when treating a condition. That is healthcare. Why should anyone have to pay for another's life style? How is preventing pregnancy a health issue. Funny you should mention death panel. Preventing pregnancies is supposed to save future health care costs.

Hey, Wal-Mart offers them for $9.00 a month when they're not covered.

Who is asking anyone else to cover anything? This whole deabte is about what is covered in PRIVATE INSURANCE.

The fact is contraception is ALREADY COVERED in 99% of plans out there, INCLUDING THE ONE BOUGHT BY GEORGETOWN....the only difference is that GT is asking that contraception be exempted...there is no additional cost involved!

Teaman, i Honestly do consider you one of the few intelligent conservatives i debate with.

I really do think you are smart enough to understand that youre siding with conservative doctrine instead of what is correct!

Also, to get back to my question, whether its diseas or not....you are asking that a GOVERNMENT ENTITY approve the perscription..........that sounds an aweful lot like you are asking for government run healthcare. Odd?

A doctor's perscription should be pleanty reason to cover the request!

I'm pretty much a conservative Libertarian. If private plans cover contraceptives on their own, that's fine. I have a problem with governments mandating what a private entity covers whether it's contraceptives or anything else. Why would a government be concerned with future healthcare costs unless there is a long term plan for government run healthcare? These mandates often prevent states from providing their own plans. Premiums would come down with a natural competition. If Georgetown wanted to be exempted, the 1% that doesn't cover contraceptives would be available. A single, federal level, mandate on everyone in a diverse nation never ends well. The left always seemed to be punishing, dictatorial, imposing, mandating, social engineering, intrusive ideology to me. It goes against one's personal liberty to make decisions for themselves. These mandates are ideological in nature.

Obama did one good thing with respect to private insurers. He raised the medical loss ratio from 80% to 85%, I believe. That's more along the lines of regulation than controlling to me.
