What have unions done for us?

Higher pension contributions will require additional money from taxpayers.

Projected taxpayer contributions for PSERS and SERS will increase from $1.7 billion in 2011-12 to more than $6.2 billion in 2016-17—a 263% increase.

Contributions will continue to rise at a slower pace in the years that follow.

The increase breaks down to more than $1,050 in additional tax payments per household/homeowner.

Unless government spending is reduced elsewhere, this will require significant increases in state and local property taxes.

All projections assume a 7.5% annual rate of return on investments.

Returns less than that—as occurred during recent recessions—will result in higher taxpayer contributions.

What have unions done for us?

I'll take the house for $300,000

Let's see 20% down =$60,000

With my excellent credit what would a 30yr cost me on the remaining $240,000?

30 year @ 3.40 =$1064.35 per month + insurance ++

Ahhhh call it $1,100

Taxes on assessed value of $300,000, lets see....looks like about $3,300 per $100,000.

Oh shit!.....$9,999 per year?

Call it $10,000 divided by 12 =$833.33 per month?

The 30 yr loan won't change for 30 years, but that public sector union run city will double the taxes and then reassess for more.

Between Sinnot and Badams my taxes would be higher than my house payment in 2 or 3 years.

Actually, a one mill punch from those two bought and paid for union ass clowns would put it over the top.

Keep your overpriced shit.
have some fun

Keep telling yourself that republitard. Do you think the right wing republitards give 2 sh$ts about you? All they care about is the 1% which I guarantee you are not.

They love to use those scary words like "socialist" to get the limited brain functioning lemmings like you to get all hot and bothered....they they prey on your gun ownership simplemindset into believing that the scary left want to take away all guns.

You call me a moron but I have a job, work 40 hours a week earn a decent wage, have paid vacations, retirement, and hard earned benefits.

Maybe you are just jealous because you don't

I know that unions work for me. I know that a majority of democrats believe in unionism and what it stands for. I also know that republitards despise workers uniting, and having any say in the wages/benefit aspects of jobs.

The republitards have been trying to scare the lemmings for decades that the big bad left will take away your guns. Can you name one bill that made it to the floor of either the house or senate that proposed taking away your guns....or are you just talking out your a$$?

So lets say you take out a loan and start a business.

Then you hire 2 people to work with you.

Then they hate you because you make more than they do.

So, they form a lazy union and tell you what to do?

Sounds GREAT HUH?

LMAO!

How lazy people can be SO FREAKING DUMBBBBBBB!!

Uions are a sanctuary for the lazy and incompetent. Members are generally run of the mill and initiative is not high on their to do list. Most do just enough to get by. Some PRIME examples of union workers were caught at a park on their lunch break drinking/doing drugs by a local TV news crew. These were GM/UAW workers. The SAME ones our tax dollars bailed out 3 years ago. While many union people DO pay homage to the Union they are too gulible to question the high salaries Union Bosses give themselves OR question the use of THEIR dues/retirement monies to politicians for campaigns. Normally, this is called bribery. Who audits the Unions books to see about theft? Money laundering?

I've worked both union and nonunion building trades.

It's been my experience that lazy bums get recognized and layed off. It doesn't matter union or nonunion.

Where unions excel are working conditions, efficiency, and all around professionalism. A lot less potheads roaming around with sharp objects.

Where nonunion shops excel are, to put it bluntly, nothing. Wages, benefits, and safety are all pinched to the Nth degree so the owner can pocket a few extra bucks. He is the only one who benefits, not his working poor employees.

Unfortunately, the recent economic free fall has put the ball in the employers court. Highly skilled workers have been forced to work for far less than their worth or not work at all.

With the pending labour crisis our country faces from retirement and death, that trend will reverse itself and the employee will find much better working conditions. Employers will have to cut bigger slices of pie to attract and keep skilled, dependable and reliable employees that grow their businesses.

Unions for working people are bad. Worker bees should NEVER have access to information, rights, respect, lob bying efforts and concerns on their behalf.

Working class people are losers. America loves winners such as Mitt Romney!

Workers should be looked upon as a necessary evil--a commodity born to be exploited and used as temporary fodder to shore up profits.

We MUST lower the wages of workers in America to be comparable to the wages being paid in Indonesia,Mexico and China.

American workers MUST accept a lower standard of living.

We MUST rid ourselves of the 5 day work week and bring back the days of 60+ hours a week with no overtime 6-7 days a week.

Children should be allowed to work--as young as 5 years old if they're willing.

Safety isn't needed in the workplace. OSHA is an enemy of business and hurts profits.

Profits are the number one priority.

Business NEEDS lobbyists and representation in Washington. Workers should not be allowed any representation.

Unions are bad for business.

Associations and lobbying groups dedicated to the interests of business is good.

In America,it shall be written, the business man is a God!
