Muslim students at Catholic University complain Christian symbols make them uncomfortable ...

Oct 27, 2011 Full story: www.jihadwatch.org 367

Crucifixes? At a Catholic university? How about that.

Of course, at the heart of this complaint is the hope of establishing a Muslim prayer space on the campus that would be subject to different standards than the rest of the university -- a little enclave of Islamic law where its ban on the display of crosses would be "respected" ...

from jihadwatch:

"The official allegations claim that CUA,'does not provide space as other universities do for the many daily prayers Muslim students must make, forcing them instead to find temporarily empty classrooms where they are often surrounded by Catholic symbols which are incongruous to their religion'...

"This formal complaint also maintains that the new same-sex residence halls are particularly discriminating against female students, which is a new position on the same-sex lawsuit that began last month.

"For both aspects of the complaint: it's a Catholic university, a private institution. No one is being forced to attend it. On the other hand, its very nature and identity puts a giant target on it for social engineering."

A giant target for Islamic "engin-erring".

Why the hell would a Muslim go to a Catholic University and why the hell would one let them in?
If the stupid catholics were dumb enough to admit them then they are getting what they deserve. Throw the Islamic bums out. Problem solved.

There is a thread titled "Why do people hate muslims?"

This can be addded to that thread.

Then it can be said that any Islamic symbol is offensive to Chritains as well.
Their complaint is a violation of the First Amendment.
Chritians better start waking up and start law suites agains Islamic symbols.

Hmm...Muslims enrolled at a Catholic University in the U.S. I wonder how many Catholics are enrolled at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, assuming that they are even allowed to do so?

why would you feel uncomfortable by a Muslim garb?

I find it ridiculous that these muslims were even going to a catholic school. But maybe the school is the best and affordable college choice for them.

My parents put my brother and I into Christian private schools when we were little, because they honestly believed the private school offered a better education than public school.

Not really. Only difference between private and public is the smaller class sizes. The curriculum is all the same.

So maybe those Muslims were under the same misconception.

Just saying.

Oh what a surprise muslims whining about how being in a christian university and having to pray in an empty classroom tha tmight have a few sybols of christianity hanging around makes them uncomfortable.I say too bad you chose to go to a christian university why should it change just to accomadate you if you dont like it leave there a lots of other good universitys to go to.Afterall if we started saying there hijab or the burkha were offensive and make me uncofortable which they actually do i find if offensive and the burkha downright rude actually but if i said that im infringign on ther human rights and the freedom to practice there relegion because as muslims ther more important than everyone else. For just once i wish someone in power would tell muslims you dont like it tough so shut the hell up.And yes i know the 1.3 billion will be up in arsm and threatening all sorts you know we should threaten a little and follow through.Im not saying its ideal if these probles could be resolved just by talking but muslims dont care they want there own why and they'll cry and scream and throw a tantrum like a baby to get there own way.We should just say shut up or get out.

No, No, Victoria! It is okay if the kuffar are made uncomfortable. it is only the muslims who must not be uncomfortable. it is the kuffar who must give way to the best thing on earth.

The best humans in the world must be accomodated or they might...might what? go beserk and kill some people, tear up the town, etc.?

They do keep some wetwork boys on hand for that sort of thing.

Islam is mohammad centered arab imperialism.

I certainly don't. They're intolerant, irrational, ignorant and illogical. And they're all members of a cult, whether they realize it or not. If you're uncomfortable then WHY ON EARTH would you go to a Catholic school? Stop trying to get everything to change to accommodate you! You're in America...so assimilate! If you don't want to assimilate and adopt our ways and culture, then you should get the hell out & go back to whatever islamic hellhole can better 'accommodate' you & your cultish needs. I hope this stupid lawsuit is thrown out of court. It should be. Pray in your damn dorm room. there's a mosque just down the street...pray there. Also these muslims know damn well that the prayer times are not hard & fast but can be flexible...so rearrange your prayer time so you're not even on campus at that point. Stop the damn whining about everything or go to an islamic country where your sensibilities won't be constantly offended! I am SO SICK of listening to muslims whine about islamophobia and wanting more accommodation! Wake up America! I know you ARE waking up...it's just taking some time. The sooner we acknowledge and deal with the idea that what is going on is nothing more than creeping sharia...the quicker we will be able to deal with it and stomp it out as a nation.

Yes, Riyan, they are very amusing. In spite of the fact that muslim societies have yet to demonstrate perfection, they cling to the fantasy that they have the perfect system.

They are a riot.
