Dan, Dan the Tax Man, when the airport falls apart and the assessment ruling all hits around the same time, he's gonna' need all the political BS he can muster. We're all tired of taxes and his record is tax failures. Remember, outside of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia there are real Pennsylvanians and they're tired of the Democratic drum beat from Rendell. Yep 'ole Dan's going to need every cent. He's even going to need the Obama if he's to pull this one off.

Hi, Old Cynic. I hope that there are enough voters who really are tired of the corruption in PA. Perhaps Gov. Rendell will contribute his gambling winnings to Mr. Onorato.

Dan is a gonner. Wait till people in the other counties in pa get hit with tax increase cause dan screwed up with the property taxes. Dan may have to stay inside the city of pittsburgh cause they are dumb enought to vote him in no matter what.

Will their local papers print that it was Mr. O who was responsible? Gov. Rendell will see to it that his people promote Mr. O to the utmost. The Republican party will put up a candidate and then do a poor job of supporting them. Mr. Swann comes to mind. The unions support Democrats no matter what. Central PA usually supports conservative candidates; while the east and western parts increasingly support liberal candidates.

I live on the North Side, and the first Mexican that wants to buy my place for what it was assessed at, I'm out of here. North Side would be a improvement over some Mexican barrios, i think.

I live up at Perry Hilltop and I think the barrios might be an improvement on what's going on up here.

Read w/Care & Old Cynic, as you both steered off of the topic, I'll jump in w/ my thoughts. I've had the pleasure of working side by side with the Mexican Nationals. They're hard workers; they love their country; they love their families. I realize that people are people everywhere. Some are hard-working, law-biding & some are not. The Mexican-Americans here are ashamed of what's going on. They worked hard to arrive here legally. They pay taxes; they pay for health care. Illegals have no business here. Period. Mexico ought to be billed to send illegals back. Let their Socialist gov't take care of them.

Hi Ladyhawke - I agree, I'm all for LEGAL immigration. The way in is clearly spelled out and written down and is law. Those who skip the system are lawbreakers and need to be fined and returned to their country of citizenship immediately. I just can't understand out politicians who take an oath to uphold the law and then ignore the law or, worse, flaunt it.

I also agree, I'm all for legal immigration, the politicians that have the money also need the votes they do not want to anger any large group during a campaign. I remember Rendells quote, "selective enforcement ," That tells it all for me.
