AT least our FD is civiclly involved in fundraisers for Burn Units etc...No crybabies there! They Care and are unified. I highly respect them and our devoted EMS....Shame "certain others" can't be as good as these people!
With gratitude I say-Great job!

We wish Assistant Chief Murray all the best that could ever be. We are saddened for the Town that it must do without our most loyal, honest and caring firefighter that it has been our privilege to know. Of the many things that can and will be said about Chief Murray, none will surpass any expression of his dedication to the Stratford FD or the citizens of Stratford. It will be a very long time before a leader such as Chief Murray comes along again. While this post should be much longer than it is, Chief Murray’s humility won’t permit even a brief description here of his record with this Town.

If you are really looking for someone to blame, why don't you try Ron Ing or John Harkins? That's where the problem is, not with someone who actually did his job. Oh wait...maybe you are too scared?

Is this in their contract to cook Chili while on duty? They complain and look for more money when asked to do things (EX: EMT Cert which could save lives) but using the town resources, this is OK.

Who said it was cooked on duty or any of the Town's resources were used. At the end of the day it was a fundraiser for Special Olympics. You see something wrong with people helping to raise money for charities???

I was stirring the chili & now I got carpal tunnel syndrome.
Then someone clanged the lid onto the pot & I lost my hearing.
After that I tried to eat some chili & it was so hot I burned my tongue.
All happened while I was a work so I am forced to file comp claims for three OTJ injuries.
It's not the best deal - but it is the system I have to work in.

In order for a pension to be a $180,000.00 a year means that this person would have had to make close ( very close ) to and average of $300,000.00 a year for the last two years.
Ya , I wish all our Town employees were this dedicated. Makes you think why he was so dedicated. Anyone who was ANTI-MIRON was allowed this nonsense.
This town is a joke.

Sigh...
First of all, a $180,000/year pension is a fiction generated here in Topix. I have seen no such number discussed anywhere else.

Second of all, how many months did Ron Ing (HR Director) take to approve promotion tests? Even after the tests were taken, did Ron Ing manage to even promote properly?

I suggest you find answers to those two questions yourself before you damage your own credibility further.

Well, my apologies if the $180,000.00 pension talk is a lie. I suppose it was dumb to actually believe that was true.

Especially since if it was true then this gentlemen, and everything I have heard about him says that he is a fine firefighter, would have been HUGE numbers prior to Ing's arrival. But if it makes people feel better to blame Ing rather then greedy public employee's then it's ok..... Oh, but we only blame greedy public employee's when it suits certain people. Thank goodness the amount of this pension was false...... whewwww

It's ok........ as long as Jezebel thinks the person is a good guy. Afterall the two of them had something in common. Hatred for Jim Miron( not that they were wrong about how he governed our community).
