Not a good idea ! If the "Tea Party"/ "Freedom LIne" is worth a crap they will be out there with their signs and chanting to let her know people of a "certain age" in Thomasville may forgive, but we don't forget.
There are many many people in Thomasville who were in VietNam or who had a parent, sibling, uncle, or friend wounded or killed there. There are people who returned unwounded and apparently intact but for whom the experience has defined their entire life.
Hanoi Jane needs to just keep her mouth shut and stay out of sight until she and the generation of real Americans she betrayed have lived their lives. She will NEVER be forgiven by everyone, and (unfortunately) that's completely appropriate. What she did in Hanoi was beyone the impetuousness of youth and doesn't deserve the forgiveness of America. She should consider herself lucky she hasn't been prosecuted for treason... there's still time you know !! Of course most Democrats and many Republicans want to give her a pass on this because she has money and position and will spend the money and use her position on other causes. Ask a wounded vet though, specially one who was a POW in VietNam and you'll get an idea how every American should feel about this.
