Yet there is a way to control surges and increases in gasoline prices. That is, to impose a 100% profits tax on all petroleum futures and hedges. For example: The rcent price of gasoline did not increase because of "unrest in the Mid-east." Prices rose because of speculation based on projected events in the Mid-east.

Obama has promised peace, has promised to end wars, has promised to close Guantanamo and now he promises alternative energy. But his real politics relies from years upon generating debts thanks to his foreign mispolitics, thanks to his wars. He is not another guy than clintons and bush, it is clique and regime too, but a little bit softer than regime of bush´s imbecyle. But he is really no solution. He has failed too.

That's all BS . America is being punished for our coal fired electrical plants, yet China builds a new coal fired electrical plant every other week . Liberals hate America, and everything this P.O.S. does is damaging America .
And the fact that he is giving aid and comfort to illegal aliens within the United States . That's TREASON !!!!

A slowdown in offshore energy development in the year since the 2010 Gulf spill has cost the U.S. a projected 57.9 million barrels of oil, according to the American Petroleum Institute. The figures are drawn from the short-term energy forecasts released by the government’s Energy Information Administration on April 8, 2010, before the Macondo blowout, and on June 7, 2011. They cover oil produced from the Gulf of Mexico. API President Jack Gerard said the declines in projected Gulf of Mexico production partly result from a slowdown in permitting offshore oil and gas projects following the spill. The government imposed a five-month moratorium on most deep-water drilling, and the pace of shallow-water permits was slower after the spill as both regulators and industry responded to new safety and environmental rules. The numbers show “the policies imposed by the administration, and, now, the snails’ pace permitting” of offshore projects have caused the U.S. to forgo developing valuable domestic oil, Gerard said in an interview. From Fuel Fix, an industry magazine.
