Obama leads Romney in every other swing state. There simply isn't a realistic way for Romney to get to 270 electoral votes.

I imagine you can stay home then and save gas by not going to the polls.

Actually if Obama wins all the states leaning towards him and all the ones he has a solid lead in he still needs a third of the toss up states. Nobody can call this one, one piece of good or bad news for obama before the election could make the difference.

Even Karl Rove's electoral map has Obama winning.
Romney would indeed have to sweep ALL the supposed "swing states" in order to win.
Not going to happen.
Well duh......the election hasn't occured yet........to see what really happens.

It is funny that the loons are touting how they are wining........but their actions show them to be scared, weak and clinging to attacks instead of their record of failure. If you listened Sunday to the spin shows, they are claiming success and just need a little longer to create the Utopia Obama promised for the workers paridise.........or should I say non worker paridise.

Well they are winning but when you look at a state like Missouri where the state has been a good predictor of the outcome the margin for error in the polls is 4 times the difference between the two candidates when it comes to likely voters.

I agree, this will be a close election when you look at the nationwide popular vote no matter who wins.

As for the tossup states, I'd rather be leading in the polls in all but one (like Obama is) than trailing in the polls in all but one (like Romney is).

Romney has to hope for something bad to happen in order to swing things in his favor. I don't think any major economic event will occur in the next 2 months, but an international incident could be on the horizon- i.e. Israel attacking Iran. That's why the GOPasaurs have been pushing so hard to get Israel to attack before the election- they know it's their only hope of winning.

Of course their strategy may backfire depending on how Iran responds to any attack. Since Israel is leading the charge, President Obama will look "presidential" by coming to Israel's defense in the event of a retaliatory strike by Iran. And if Iran is foolish enough to retaliate directly against US interests (ships, military bases, etc) in the middle east, then the President again demonstrates his leadership by responding with our own forces. The public will rally around the President as they always do when America is attacked.

We can tell the confidence level by the BLAME GAME DNC CONVENTION.

FLASH: THIS JUST IN………THE DNC IS NOW GIVING FREE TICKETS TO THE DNC CONVENTION AND OFFERING BLACK CHURCHES AND COLLEGES FREE PASSAGE IN HOPES THEY CAN FILL THE SEATS…………they will also announce soon that they are moving Obama from the stadium (acceptance speech) to a smaller venue so that all the empty seats will be less noticeable.

This on top of giving away tickets to Obama speeches away in bars..........Desperation R Us.

by the way, neither ploy is working.........even worse news for team odoodle.

"McCaskill is currently leading Akin in the most recent poll of the race, according to a polling average compiled by the Web site Real Clear Politics - 4.5 percentage points, or just outside the polling margin of error. A poll by the Republican-leaning Rasmussen Reports puts her up even higher, at 10 points."

Hey Dumbo - read who conducted the PPP poll;

"If I were a cynic, I might suggest that PPP — a Democratic pollster – did the flash poll knowing it was too soon for the effect of the controversy to make its way into the electorate in the hope of keeping Akin’s hope alive before he makes his decision overnight whether to step aside."

Keep trying loser!

Democrats set to move Obama's big speech from 74,000-seater outdoor stadium to 20,000-seater indoor arena

Democrats are poised to avoid the danger of President Barack Obama accepting his party’s nomination before a partially-empty stadium by shifting his speech to an indoor arena and citing ‘severe weather’. hahahah the weather but losing 50,000 seats hahaha....sure.

The Obama campaign have been working desperately to ensure that the 74,000-seater Bank of America stadium in Charlotte would be filled.
Buses for students from across North Carolina and even members of black churches in neighboring South Carolina have been arranged.

you mean to tell me that the good, southern state of North Carolina could and did vote for obama? Is there no shame? How could anyone from the South, vote for a muslim socialist traitor? Could it be the universities have been infiltrated with ponytailed ex hippie professors that have indoctrinated the children of the South?

This is almost as bad as Yankees in Atlanta.
