Former Elizabethton Lady Cyclone basketball standout Chelsea Bowling will make the move from ETSU to King College for her sophomore season. Bowling saw 36 minutes of action as a freshman for Coach Karen Kemp with the Lady Buccaneers.

Bowling, a sophomore guard, played at East Tennessee State University under Head Coach Karen Kemp last year. The Elizabethton native saw limited time as a freshman where she logged in 36 minutes before making the decision to join the Lady Tornado.

Prior to her time at ETSU, Bowling played her high school basketball for Len Dugger at Elizabethton High School. In the 2010-11 season she helped guide the Lady Cyclones to a 33-2 record along with a 10-0 record in district play. Bowling netted 101 three-pointers during her senior year, while shooting 48 percent from beyond the arc. She also shot 88 percent from the free throw line, recorded 59 steals, 57 assists, and 98 rebounds. She finished her high school career with 993 total points.

"Chelsea gives us good size at the guard position and she is a very good shooter from the perimeter," said Coach Thompson. "We are very excited to have her for next year. She is a very hard worker and will contribute on both ends of the floor."
