The "illegal immigrants" ARE "PARASITES" OF THE "UNITED STATES TAXPAYERS"
When will the madness Stop! We need to Protect these illegal immigrants! SO let make ICE do their JOB and DEPORT all these poor illegal immigrants back to whatever country they came FROM. CONFISCATE ALL their WORLDLY POSSESSIONS and Sale their Possessions at Public Auction and use the Money to Help Deport more of these poor illegal immigrants Back to their Homeland Broke. That way it will discourage their Homeland People not to come to United States without PROPER PAPERS.
Here in Chicago one of the most important things to deal with besides the illegals is daily shootings.
Mayor Dally made the proclamation of sanctuary status..
Who ever replaces him will have to deal with it.

Chicago and Cook county have one of the highest un employment rates in the nation.
As properties de evaluate , Cook county constantly raising property taxes causing many residents to loose their homes.
In part C.P.S and the city are millions in the red.

Tim,
Property taxes are confusing at best. The thing to understand is that the money that is needed from taxes is determined every year and then property owners are forced to pay their share based on the value of their property compared to all other property. So lets just say, to make it simple, only $1000 is needed to cover all taxpayer funded operations. If there were 10 properties and they were all valued the same (regardless of whether they were valued at 100,000 or 1,000) every property would be charged $100 to total $1000.
Now lets say all properties values now were 50% less than they were, and $1000 were still needed for collection. Everybody's taxes would still be $100 each. Lets say that $1000 was needed to be collect in taxes and everybody's property drop in half to lets sat $50,000. The property taxes would still be $100 each. Lets say that the taxes needed went up to $2000 and everybodys property values went down to $50,000. The property tax would still double and go up to $200.
The property tax that you pay will go down if only your property value drops compared to everybody elses or most importantly the taxes neede to be collected goes down. But politicians especially Democrats make their living by giving other peoples money away, so don't expect that the taxes needed to be collected will drop easily. Chicago is a sanctuary city run by Democrats. If you expect taxes to go down you must change both.

I went threw the process of lowering the tax on that basis. Was denied on the appeal.
In this city 10 properties were accessed at a one thousand dollar hike...
Others were not evaluated in over 20 years. In this suburb no slated opposition for mayor in November.
