Loreal has 100's of white models. Why would they need to lighten her skin? If they want a white model, they use a white model.

This color sensitivity issue shared by dark and light skinned blacks is ridiculous and this drama is baseless.

Beyonce's face is ery blemished. Her face is always fixed up in Photoshop. Images are ligtened/ darkened all the time

Beyonce darkens her skin with bronzers and make-up. She is the same exact color in that Loreal ad that she was in Dreamgirls. If you see Beyonce without her makeup, she is much lighter than what we see all the time.

I think Beyonce is probably aware that her skin is lightened for these ad's and likes it better that way, after all she has coloured her hair blonde before, that makes me suggest that she would like to look more like a white girl

i think it is just a bad unflattering photo.

many light skinned black women can tan at the drop of a hat. and lose a tan at the drop of a hat. i own many different types of make up that compliment my skin tone for when my colour changes. and it changes a lot. and i do think it looks better when i am tan. the great majority of skin looks healthier when it gets sun. it really isn't that big a deal.

Beyonce is always being photogged in the sun. do you think she cares about skin whiteners or being perceived as darker???

besides...i blame photoshop and a bad dye job or weave colour for the bad pic.

First off, most of the models for l'oreal are white. Alot of coloured women in the music, acting, modeling business have lightened their skin. Check Rihanna, compare her skin tone to her little brother's, she's lighter. If beyonce starved herself for the role in "Dream Girls" why would she not lighten her skin to be on this hair colour product? Ignorant people need to start realizing that black women are lightening their skin, Lil Kim, Ciara,Tyra. Check their pics when they were kids and compare them to now and u will see that they have lightened their skin. On the covergirl magazine i recently saw a shoot of Rihanna and her skin was so airbrushed it was like white white white, not even tan but white. I'm sure if Beyonce had a problem with the pic she would say that's not how light she is they would not have gone ahead and put the product out there. Check out her dad's colour, very dark and her mum is lighter than her. Skin lightening. The media will obviously not mention that she was spotted heading to a location to get her monthly dose of skin lightening treatment but it's true.

Beyonce is part creole on her mother's side which makes them both appear very light. It is possible that she lightened her skin more. It is possible that photoshop gave her the appearance of lighter skin. It is possible that her natural hue has lightened naturally. I am medium brown skin, but, when I was younger I was dark brown. And trust, I can't afford skin lightening. It's a natural phenomena for black people.
