Getting government money to rebuild in vulnerable areas is a SHORT TERM fix that is unsuitable to long term sea level rise. Time to put homes on submersible stilts or move them, depending on the economics and appeal. Hard for people to give up land they bought for x00,000 to give it back to the sea so adapting to periodic flooding might make sense. For as long as it remains 'periodic' enough..

P.S. The glacier melt was the past. The ice sheets are what is melting long term.

NJ was in the news.. $67B are a lot of money for a little area to recover.. that's only for now. Construction costs increase until finished.
