Sikh professor who wrote on US hate crimes assaulted
#1 Sep 25, 2013
The title makes it seem as though this was a hate attack carried out by, presumably, white racists, when, in fact, it was about 15 or 20 teens in Harlem. The truly sad fact, though, is that these were not men, they were TEENAGERS. That means the kids were out there, unsupervised, and too ignorant to know the difference between Sikh and Muslim (as though that would be OK), and they felt empowered enough to gang up on the guy without fear of consequences. The victim has reportedly said that this is, "not the Harlem I know." I submit that he may never have known Harlem at all.

Hi there. Here is the news video. The gentleman that was assaulted makes it clear they were afro-americans.
