NASA Astronomers discover "Super Jupiter" planet orbiting Massive Star
Astronomers using infrared data from the Subaru Telescope in Hawaii have discovered a "super-Jupiter" around the bright star Kappa Andromedae, which now holds the record for the most massive star known to host a directly imaged planet or lightweight brown dwarf companion.

Nice pretty picture.
Have found the star to be a B9 subgiant ~2.5 solar masses, and will generally expect the planet masses to be at all scales from comets through to brown dwarves at all stages of star mass.
The unusual bit is that Kappa is a single star, which is relatively rare in scattered associations. Most of these stars happen instead to be binaries or hierarchial multiples.
Have a nice day: Ag
