Lets give these imbeciles a nice Holland welkom. Sure would be a shame if someone tuned them up while they were here.

Phones have been ringing off their hooks today, lots of people organizing counter protests.

The general "unorganized" plan seems to be, to gather enough people to "shield" the family from the Westboro Bastards.

Stand in places that block the Westboro Bastards and keep them out of sight.

The Westboro Bastards usually send only women and use children as shields so any fun stuff is out of the question but we can invalidate their efforts and make it like it never happened.

What gets me is -- these people need to get a "REAL" job, instead of using their disjointed view of Christianity to piously condemn everyone else who dont happen to see things EXACTLY their way!

-- and if THATS not the definition of "Irony" taking place here in west michigan, i dont know WHAT is!

p.s. I'll be there.

Everything about these guys is vial. Their entire message on all claims is so far beyond rational it's impossible to articulate.

Disco, Their views, actions and beliefs go way beyond just "intolerance".

Over 2000 going, probably lots more. Considering it. I'll be the one looking liberalish, with the rainbow flag, dreadlocks, peeing in the street while eating a vegan, organic dinner.

lol
eating at NHBC, eh?

i plan on being there. quite a few will be there. i know some that served with him - they will be there.

i've heard that some will be there protesting (key word HEARD). not with the Westboro group, but other former military. REALLY? you have to protest at a funeral? did you NOT learn respect in the military? if you protest in uniform, you have lost any and all respect from me and probably plenty of others.
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Washington DC is the address you want to protest at if you have a problem. not at a soldiers funeral.

NOBODY should protest a funeral. Ever. For any reason. I don't care if it's the guy who shot up the theater.

Are people ever going to start respecting one another again?

i don't think that's the correct position either. they may protest all they want. 1st admendment. i may not agree with it, but it's their right. just as i don't want to be shot for taking advantage of my rights.
