New vocal music scholarship for Great Lakes Bay teens aims to be 'life-changing'

When contralto Emily Marvosh returned last February to perform with the Saginaw Choral Society, she told them how important a summer music scholarship she received was to forming her career path.

Last year my daughter was accepted to a one week intensive program at Interlochen, but she couldn't attend because we simply just couldn't afford it. We are so please to see the scholarship opportunity set up through David Lyman and his wife Nancy Parker, to establish the Glen Thomas Rideout Endowed Scholarship Fund. We thank the inspiration of Emily Marvosh,and the generous giving of David Lyman and Nancy, for allowing future vocalists access to programs they might otherwise miss out on.
