So the question is what to do when antibiotics, alpha blockers, massages, injections, meditation, suppositories, physical therapy, herbs, and other proposed treatments do not work. What do we do with the man who has failed year after year and is miserable? There is no clear answer, although there has been some ray of hope with prostatitis surgery -- see http://ProstatitisSurgery.com -- in that a number of patients seem to be finally getting relief. This approach is under study in a first-of-kind clinical trial and we will see as the results start to come in.
