Of course Atheism lead's to worse morals? Then they think they can do whatever they want in the world and have nobody to answer to. That is the whole reason for even making up such a ridicolous group of people. I guess it's none of my business if people want to burn in all hell fire. I should just let it go, but I do wish they wouldn't stop other's from being compassionate about our creator most of the time. Then I wouldn't worry about them either. But, they alway's want to blashemy God's Good Name, with dumb remarks! To Each HIS OWN ???!

Do you even know any atheists? You do realize you could be standing right next to one at any time, don't you? You better be careful, some nasty atheist may do really, really immoral things to you!

Oh! Almost forgot... God probably doesn't exist.

Your ignorance is astounding.

I am probably more 'moral' than you or a number your church mates.

I do not need threat of eternal damnation to avoid doing wrong - I do it to avoid empathetical distress.

You do not 'blasphemy' god - you blaspheme god.

"To Each HIS OWN ???! "

LOL Yeah right - your intolerance preceding this is not voided by this insincerity you threw in to make you self *seem* tolerant.

You're still an ignorant bigot.

But to each their own.

I usually get in my best blaspheming moods when I read the posts of borin'-again ignorami such as yourself. Your very presence in atheist threads provokes me to point out how sissified your soft, weak godlet was, and that he has been dying ever since he was impaled by the longest, sharpest branch on the tree of knowledge: science.

Thanks, Conchita. I needed that. Be sure to post here again, and every time that you tell me what atheists are like, and how morally bereft we are and how much you disapprove of us, I'll tell you another little more about Jesus. You're going to love the story of him and the little Magdalene gamin hitting puberty behind the manger. Let's just say that the way that girl could howl, it was hardly a Silent Night: "OMG! OMG!". Think Porky's.

And take an aspirin will you? You've had that migraine forever.

Lets see wars, greed, pedofilia[catholic leaders], murder and basically people that go around thinking they are better than everyone as the Original poster. Thats what you get from religion. People do not need religion to tell them that murder is wrong, yet most wars are because of religion..Hmmmm. Religion should look at themselves before they judge others. In the animal kingdom, animals only kill to survive, protection and food. They do not have a guide[bible]. Religion is telling us , that people are dumber than lower animals and need a guide to do the right thing lmao. I think not. I am too intelligent to believe in WIZARDRY IN THE SKY. Have a great day everyone.

Frankly I am surprised women would even believe in god lol. Look at the freaking 10 commandments. The first half god is bragging on himself, yet no mention of rape or torture or pedofilia in the other half lol. Its a freaking joke. Their god is an egotistical ham . Sounds very 'human' to me.

1) Atheism is a lack of belief in god.

2) All babies lack belief in concepts they have not been introduced to.

3) The concept of god is a concept babies have not been introduced to.

4) Hence all babies lack a belief in god

5) Hence all babies are atheists

And by extension:

6) All humans were babies once

7) All babies are atheist

8) Everyone is atheist at one point

The smart ones return to being atheist or they luckily never stop being atheist.

Topix is for news, this crap is not news. This is your personal blog you posted. Free advertisement for your book, which, it must not be a good seller if you have to do your own advertising.

If you look closer, you will note that the author did not post this story to Topix. No one did--it was picked up by the roboblogger and then commented on by a Christian, which began this thread.

Many Topix threads begin with comments on news items, but if Topix was for news and news alone, users would not have the ability to begin new threads except from news stories. Its creators intended for it to be a free from unnecessary restrictions.

You're newly registered and probably relatively new to Topix. Why not read and post a bit before issuing proclamations about what Topix is for?

Funny how you trash nontheists as "morally lawless", when the majority of THEISTS throughout the ages have shown themselves to be anything BUT moral, doing as THEY please in the name of whatever "deity" they've concocted, then thinking that if there's any trouble for them in an "afterlife", they'll be able to talk their way past the now-spiteful "deity" they thought for sure would be patting them on the back.

Cowardly positions don't come any uglier than they do for the garden-variety theist.

I'm not an atheist, but those atheists that I know are far more moral than some of the christians like you who think that their crap doesn't stink.

amazingly, the same laws and social behaviors apply to atheists that apply to beleivers

and, at least we make the decision to not murder, steal, rape, molest children and other immoral things because we can tell the difference between moral and immoral on our own

unlike believers who seem to think a partial list that is more focussed on worshipping authority is moral - but since believers tend to be the ones shooting abortion doctors, strapping bombs to themselves and the believer hierarchy is embezzling/swindling money, sexually harassing congregation members, molesting children ....

well, even you should be able to see that your idea of morality is hardly moral

My former reply to your post was logic. I just read through some of your postings and I appologise, logic is simply not called for in this instance. You are lost..there is nothing but a frail thread of imaginary crap holding you together right now. You do not have a clue as to what or who an atheist is. I suggest you stick to what you know. Some people should not stir certain pots. Stirring this particular one could break your last little thread.

"Frail thread of imaginary crap".....BEAUTIFUL!

But, if it's imaginary, how can it hold anything together?

The Ten Commandments is good on brutally raping and nearly beating a woman (or man) to death, unless you covet her, do it on the Sabbath, or also rob her. Oh, and if she's your mother, that's right out, too, but sisters and daughters are on the menu.

"But actually they are the almost independent consequences of having a philosophical naturalism philosophy that uses a scientific approach (empirical evidence and logical reasoning) to determine which beliefs are worthy of acceptance and which are not."

That basically demonized logic and reason... now who (in their right mind) would say that was a good thing?
