Nice to see the leftist crew out in force today, nice to see you denigrate the service of our troops in Afghanistan by comparing the Tea Party to the Taliban, yet I have no records of any Tea Partiers blowing up schools because girls went there.

Yes.

You love the benefits of Socialism. Most Republicans do.

But they hate the fact that as with all things mathematical, there's another side of the equation.

Wouldn't it be nice if the people who really don't need Social Security Benefits upon retirement, you know, those making more than say...$200,000 a year in income, weren't eligible for benefits? If $200,000 is too low...pick a number.

Wouldn't that be a fine gesture on the part of the Republican Party if they would back such legislation?

if the Tea Party actually represented Traditional Conservatism they would be legit but they dont, and do not want to rid society of Social Security, Medicare & entitlements which 20th Century Traditional Conservatism rejects and be self reliant and go back to the 20th Century Traditional Conservatism but they dont which makes them nothing more than Pseudo Liberals.

Apparently you haven't seen the commericials that say Romney/Ryan will destroy Medicare and Social Security.

People were taxed with the promise that the entitlements were "mandatory savings accounts" therefore we should be allowed to withdraw once the accounts are no longer mandatory.

you Liberals need to realize that you still think Social Security is a Right just because you & the employers that were forced into and should have never been made to pay into the SCAM and needs to be eliminated but Liberals wont do that and know that Social Security is not a right.

Many people believe that Social Security is an earned right-that is, they believe they are entitled to receive Social Security benefits because they have paid Social Security taxes. However, in Flemming v. Nestor (1960), the Supreme Court ruled that workers have no legal right to Social Security: Congress can cut or eliminate Social Security benefits at any time regardless of a worker's contributions.

No, Social Security is not a redistributionairy program, and it should not be. It was intended as a "mandatory savings account" better known as a "Ponzi scheme".

It would violate equal protection if the cap was busted and benefits were still capped or worse eliminated.

The best gesture is the abolishing of Social Security for everyone not paying in already, and giving the option to those currently paying in to invest their dollars somewhere else.

If SS was just abolished then the .gov would keep what it has in the trust fund instead of returning what it promised to pay back.

I don't think Obama's Hate Hate Hate campaign with the theme "Mediocracy Good, Accomplishemnt BAD" will play as well in Columbus as it does with the Urban Ghetto types.
