Former Campbellsville Coach Ron Finley Has Died

Former Campbellsville University football coach Ron Finley has died. He was 76. The university said on its Web site that Finley died Monday at a Greensburg rehabilitation center while being treated for various health problems.

Ron Finley was an assistant football coach at Louisville Male High in the mid 1960's and when I played 1963 thry 1965 he coached offensive linemen. He was a good coach that loved the game and the boys he coached. His wife Phyllis and he always traveled on our bus for away games and kept us under control. We loved them!

He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. There aren't many people left like him anymore. A great man that will be truly missed.

Coach Finley truly cared about his players. He taught them respect for themselves and respect for others.

not 'finally' died, ding-a-ling, FINLEY died, as in Coach Finley....that's his name. Nobody attacked him. Read carefully before you attack.
