a little-noticed congressional decision to reduce or eliminate Pell Grants for hundreds of thousands of the poorest college students.
The changes take effect July 1, and students will bear the brunt of the reforms, which are expected to save $11 billion over 10 years.

..

dumb down the population, and they'll believe anything you tell them to believe.

.
alongside this, they've also lifted the ban on military propaganda in the US.

While the woman they picked for this story wasn't the most compelling case for sympathy, this smacks of just...wrong.

History has presented us with dozens (being modest) of scenarios, like this one, where countries start trending towards a plutocratic political environment. Once the aristocracy are the perceived source of power, they'll become the perceived source of the problem (and in some cases this will be completely true).

One of the more memorable and relatively recent times in history this happened as the French Revolution.

I'm really not excited about seeing that play out here in America.
