Damn right they are, and it's about time.
Those in Europe, who suffered at the hands of the criminal activity of Wall Street which sold them endless toxic derivatives graded as "A" paper products, have been asking for two years now why we aren't in the streets rioting.
Things have to get bad enough first, and the rank hoplessness and dejected place the recently unemployed, underemployed, and the already homless and disaffected find themselves, dictates that the next natural step is civil disobedience, then anarchy.
It doesn't have to come to that, but Republicans who own Washington politics, the media, and the learges corporations need to realize their very way of life is in jeopardy should the masses revolt.
And it won't take much at this point. Between Wall Street, the banks, and fascist run corporate America with their thumbs on the scale, we're at that much talked about "tipping point."

Sharpton likens this little movement to the tea party. Biden says the tea party movement began prior to Obama because of TARP.

He (Sharpton) compared it to the tea party movement, saying both were raising concerns about general anxieties over the economic system.

"The messaging is directed at working people," he said. "Both the tea party and Occupy Wall Street are arguing that something needs to change. The question is, What is the source of the problem?"

So it's official and confirmed by Sharpton and Biden. The TEA party had nothing to do with Obama's election.

Now you all can just shut it and maybe constructive debate can happen.

There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware

I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind

I think it's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side

It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away

We better stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, now, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

Te leftwing media is having a hard time playing this up since Obama has hired Wall Street to fill his administration.
They would have to ask the question of: WHY Haven;t you prosecuted any of YOUR BANKER Friends Obama?
Turns out these loons aren't even smart enough to know what's going on. They are asking WHY isn't government paying off their loans?
The media knows this is ridiculous and when Obama has 19% Underemployment,$14 Trillion in Debt, 3 Wars raging,...this is not a good time to bring up their idiotic, irresponsible requests.
More than anything the protesters seem to be using the event as a catch-all for any and all bitches they have.
unemployment
wages
income
health care
student loans
education
race relations
etcetera

I've seen interview after interview and while they offer long-winded diatribes about all their ails, there is lacking any sort of solution... other than an increased "conversation" about said bitches and ails.

And as you're correct to point out, where's the target? Wall Street? What about Congress and the White House? Are our elected office holders not in any way culpable? Where's are the answers from DC?

And why aren't the protesters there?

This whole episode wreaks of phoniness.

You mean like Pelosi's investment of $100K ~$250K in Comcast?
Kerry's $1.75 ~$2.5 Million in Comcast?
Or do you mean the other 57 members of congress invested in Disney?
Harkin?
Maybe you meant those pesky Democrats invested in defense contractors?
Nah. I've read enough of your posts to know you'd never mention Democrats, no matter how filthy, underhanded or corrupt they might be.
Well, you obviously haven't read enough of them to get it right.

I have never apologized for the crimes whether real, or perceived of the left, which is quite an admission, since the right posting on these boards have NOT ONCE admitted the frauds and felonies of the Bush Crime Family writ large, NOT ONCE has there been an admission from the fascist right posting on these boards admonishing the endless litany of nasty, mean spirited legislation supported and cheerleaded for by the Republican Reich.

So, being wealthy leftists, Kerry, Pelosi, etc, aren't allowed to invest money where they see fit??

When your speaker of the house, John Boehner hands out lobbyist checks ON THE FLOOR OF THE HOUSE with cameras rolling, then you should have had him removed from office immediately for dereliction of duty, corruption, and corporate fascism.

This happened FIFTEEN YEARS AGO.

No, the balance sheet of crime and corruption is much more heavily weighted on the right, as it always has been.

Putting blame aside, REAL campaign finance reform, removal of all lobbying from Washington, publicly financed elections on all levels of politics nationwide is the only way to return us to representative democracy.

We are an oligarchy, and the growing separations of class will render us a nation of haves and have nots before the end of this decade if things don't change.

And the policies of division, divisiveness, racism, homophobia and anti-semitism engrained in the Fleagagging right won't get us there.

That ideology is destined for the dust bin of history- it's just a matter of how long it will take to get there.

Amazing.

On this page, of this thread, I have been called a "racist" and labeled a "fake" poster.

Republicans have only bullying tactics, no intelligence, no brain, and frankly, I know how fortunate I am that I was raised with values, not hatred, racism, bigotry, and contempt.

Therefore I will win every argument, everytime.

Let’s see, one sure sign of a fascist is their disdain for Jews…

IMO...The following was not just a slip of the tongue but a more deeper problem probably from obama spending too much time around people who despise Jews...i.e. Wright and Farrakhan.

b. h. obama: "If asking a billionaire to pay the same tax rate as a Jew, uh, as a janitor makes me a warrior for the working class, I wear that with a badge of honor. I have no problem with that."

Imagine if any body else would make such a slip what the media would do? Let's say someone used the n-word when they meant digger which are two very close words unlike Jew and janitor. You can bet the media would see to it that all hell would erupt. But if little barry says "same tax rate as a Jew, uh janitor" he gets a pass and the Tea Party are the racists...right.

Obama attacks banks while raking in Wall Street dough

The Daily Caller

Despite his rhetorical attacks on Wall Street, a study by the Sunlight Foundation’s Influence Project shows that President Barack Obama has received more money from Wall Street than any other politician over the past 20 years, including former President George W. Bush.

In 2008, Wall Street’s largesse accounted for 20 percent of Obama’s total take, according to Reuters.

When asked by The Daily Caller to comment about President Obama’s credibility when it comes to criticizing Wall Street, the White House declined to reply.

- OUCH!-

Obama is such a Piece of Sh*t.
