"Medical experts say that a person may want to consider knee replacement surgery if they have a stiff, painful knee that prevents them from performing even the simplest of activities and other treatments are no longer working. The doctors as well as the patients should however make sure that the medical device to be used is safe unlike the defective DePuy Hip Replacment device of Johnson&Johnson. It has already affected a number of patients. Seek medical advice for more information or you may visit .

I think it is important for everyone to know that DePuy Orthopaedics, a division of Johnson & Johnson is recalling its hip replacement systems and is currently facing mounting lawsuits filed by injured hip replacement patients. Surgeons are alarmed that hip replacement devices are likely to fail over the next two or three years of use. For more information, you may refer at .

I guess its because most people would rather avoid experiencing the whole ordeal of pain that is why they would have their knees replaced early. I have read somewhere at the that doctors have different opinions with regards to getting hip replacement early or not. Some prefer to have it later as a last option.
