A Mormon Moment

On the final exam for an American religion class I taught this spring, I asked my Boston University students to offer Mitt Romney some unsolicited advice on how to talk to the American public about his Mormon faith.

Yeah, Mitt might try to explain why his "religion" hates dogs,believes that Mexicans are Angels of God, but claims that Jesus and Satan are actual brothers, and that God lives on the planet Kolob. That would be a good start for Mitt to help explain his cult to the rest of us, whose ancestors didn't run off to Mexico to found a polygamist commune.

Yeah! Did you see the prices on those Magic Underwear? What a bunch of Ripoffs, those Mormons are.
They will not allow people who are NOT Mormon into their Church, so I guess that if you want to become Mormon, you ned to be Born into it or have a Sponsor whos is a Bishop or Higher Up.
Like joining a Country Club. They are VERY secretive.

..... Cousin, As I remember it, the LDS has missionaries who, two at a time, present the Mormon viewpoint similarly as the JWs do. If you want to get to be a Mormon then talk to these people, or travel to Salt Lake City. Probably you also can find on the internet what you want to know, if anything, about the Mormons and the difference between what they believe and what they actually do.

I only offer this response to this poster to remind him that as CRAZY as Mitt Romney is.......these people at Liberty U are even crazier. Yes, Mitt belives that a known con man kept a magic rock in his hat that rewrote the very bible that they use st Liberty University (assumption) was a moden day prophet. But these people actually voted for him. I am the property of the Great I AM, and Liberty University is in NO WAY attached to Jesus Christ or the Father IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER.

The song has special meaning to me, because when I was 18 I was out by the lake with my cousin. We had had a few beers and I tried to kiss her. She refused and I was horribly embarrassed . I had to meet her the next day at my aunts pool. I was so ashamed that it took everything I had to go there. I had had a complete change of heart. I was mortified. However, apparently overnight she had had a change of heart as well. So she came on to me twice while we were swimming. After the guilt I had just gone thru there was no way I was going to do anything......... She must have thought I had lost my mind.... Nothing happened...thank god...
