Maybe we should discuss what role CraigsList has in this. They help in the exploitation of desperate women, and help put them in harm's way. I am not saying the women deserve such treatment at the hands of monsters who are arrogant enough to think they can get by with it. And CraigsList is giving the sex criminals and sadistic murderers a smorgasbord, with many potential victims to choose from.

Everyone is also overlooking the fact that CraigsList is facilitating breaking the law. I couldn't get on there and ask for help committing a burglary or murder, yet they feel they can help people commit this crime. In fact, you can't even go on there and ask for help doing something merely unusual or weird without getting flagged.

I read, in Florida, where the police placed an ad on Craigslist, asking for men over 18 to teach children as young as 8 how to have sex. Fifteen responded to the ad and all went to jail.

Stop blaming a tool for individual free will. CraigsList killed those women as much as it made the women post the ads. Those women would have sued another venue to get the message out. Here, in Kansas and Missouri, we call that rag The Pitch.

So True Hero! Our country has raised a generation (or 3) of people who are incapable of accepting responsibility for their actions!

Yes, but CL allows others to express immoral and criminal behavior. Sure, the women don't have to post the ads, but where would they post them if CL didn't make that available?

And yes, I understand your point. If someone is bound to be an addict, then they will find something to abuse. I just watched a documentary on "huffing" (inhalant abuse using household chemicals). It is much easier to score some gasoline or some spray paint, than it is the street drugs.

Sure, part of me says that if you want to be treated with worth and respect, then you must act worthy and respectable. But I have to be cautious in saying that since it is not right to blame the victims. The misbehavior of one person does not excuse the misbehavior of another, and nobody deserves death unless they are trying to kill you or are a clear irredeemable threat to society.

I agree.

I am not excusing either persons behavior, but to blame a website is not rational.
