This is kinda off topic but... I was raised to not mix races. I 'm not talking aryn nation racism but they just didn't believe in mixing. For as long as I can remember I was often the focal point of arguments within the extended family (because I am the only one in the family that dates outside of white) so much so that I finally stopped going to get togethers (other than at my moms). It was at one of these (I wasnt there)that the argument got so bad that my grandfather threw one of his own daughters off his property defending me.(Loved my grandfather - he always supported me and defended my decisions) After my grandmother died I learned why my grandfather was always so protective of me..at 70 or so years old my grandfather took in a black girlfriend!LOL After writting a novel I'm just trying to say that the people we think we know the best sometimes are the ones we know the least.
Cool story and you are right about sometimes not knowing people you think you do.

Because you like mixed relationships? I can't see why that would be a deterrent.

I'm sorry- I should have clarified. Trust issues and not really knowing people are why I don't have many female friends.I've had more than one try to cause problems either with my job or my man!
