I would never vote for him...but unless I'm not remembering correctly, he was referring to the internet not merely computers.

Well!

I was going to vote for Obama. But then he went and called government funded university research a government project.

How pathetic! How deceptive! I want to vote for Hillary now!

Haha.. He should have studied up on history before he speaks. Also I did not like his comment about putting medical records with IT.(Information Technology). He should have said put the records on the Network. Yeah he is programmed alright. Who is the real OBAMA.

Seems you can't get your lie straight.

McCain himself never said anything about inventing the blackberry but OBAMA couldn't even put that education to work on a simple piece of computer trivia.

Better to say nothing instead of a lie.
He's an idiot.

The debate last night was like watch 2 fledgling Socialist go at it.

Fighting over who can give away the most in order to buy votes from the idiot masses.

So many promises. So may lies.

These 2 are as bad as Kerry vs Bush.

"The same way the computer was originally invented by a bunch of government scientists who were trying to figure out, for defense purposes, how to communicate," he said.(From the Washington Times Article.)

Oh well, I was tired of the old rumors and accusations anyway. Something new for people to get wrong and then repeat over and over, right?

No, he's no idiot. He made a mistake. You know, like someone chanting,'bom bom bom, bom bomb Iran'?

And you are correct; but I don't think anyone asked about the Blackberry incident:

A top advisor to John McCain Tuesday said his boss was partly responsible for the "miracle" of the BlackBerry, stirring a flurry reminiscent of Al Gore's claims to have helped develop the Internet.

'"You're looking at the miracle that John McCain helped create," said Doug Holtz-Eakin, an economic aide to Republican White House hopeful McCain, as he held up his BlackBerry wireless e-mail device.'(Sept 16th, AP news)

Are you saying, since this aide obviously also misspoke, that he's an idiot too? Did Mac fire him for it? I don't think so.

When Obama votes 96% of the time with a Congress earning a 9% approval rating, you're part of the problem.

Why elevate someone proven to stink at his current job?

'McCain also tripped up yesterday, claiming that "I was chairman of the Commerce Committee that oversights every part of our economy." In fact, the committee's scope legally excludes "credit, financial services, and housing" -- the very areas now in crisis.'
(Sept 17th, Washington post, according to Michael D. Shear)

Guess we all goof sometimes, huh?

Is this "aide" running for president?

I didn't think so.

Well I guess he's just not that important then is he. No need to fire him just remind him to get his facts straight before lying.

I'd give the same advice to Obama.

Get your facts straight before lying to millions of people and sounding like an idiot.

That's the problem with nitpicking over every little mistake. Hoe many times have you spouted off about something, yet not getting the facts straight? Have you ever stood in front of a group of people and said you made a mistake?

I would imagine how difficult it would be to take the time to learn about a large number of things while trying to live out the "celebrity" status that Americans impose on politicians.

I expect that Obama will get plenty of things wrong. But all I see is that he has gotten MANY more things right. ALl I need from him.

On the other hand....McCain? Ha! A different scenerio altogether.

Get a life. He meant the Internet. And if Tim Berniers Lee wasn't working for the US government, he was still getting funded by it.

And if the worst that Obama does is slip on a technology quote, he's still my choice. At least he doesn't look at you with big sad mournful McCain eyes and lie to your face.

After watching the second most boring debate (after the first one) I think it's time to get Sarah Palin back and have her wrestle alligators.

How about Sarah Palin vs. Hulk Hogan? Same level of intellect, no ambushes or trick questions, just Joe Six-Pack vs Hockey-Momzilla.
