Dear Edge:

If the article is about Protestant fundamentalists, why is this dude in the pic twiddling a rosary? Can't you be just a bit less moronic than mainstream journalists?

Remember, it is WHO (underscore)? what? where? why?

There are some mainstream Protestant churches that "offically" pray the rosary. I'm a regular church-going Lutheran of more than 50 years, and I learned about a month ago that the Lutheran Church (ELCA) "offically" uses the rosary, although I have NEVER seen it used in a Lutheran church or any other Protestant church.

Coincidentally I was discussing this fact with my Lutheran pastor aboout a month ago. To me it is certrainy too Roman catholic to use in a Protestant church.

Why are they coming out instead of transferring the hell out of those ignorant backwaters?

One reason might be the scholarhsips that were mentioned in the article. In these tough times, I expect they need all the financial help they can get. Besides, our people need the young to fight discrimination wherever it rears its' ugly head. I consider the young folks heros, and I don't question why they are where they are.

As you know, there are Christians and then there
are 'christians.'
I seriously doubt that 10 percent of the homosexuals
read the Bible and if they do they don't know
how God feels about it, nor do they know what
abomination even means.
When they stand before Him at the Judgegment
it will all be made clear to them.
BUT, then it will be to late.
So sad.
Wailing and gnashing of teeth in total darkness,
burning forever, isn't something I would wish
on anyone.

When you die, you will be rewarded with what you so fervently want. Which is NOTHING.

Doesn't this poster have that certain, fundie cretin, autoerotic asphyxiation vibe? Praiz!

Reverend Gary Aldridge was found dead in his home in east Montgomery. He was the senior pastor at Thorington Road Baptist Church for the last 15 years.

Gary Aldridge graduated from Liberty University and later worked for the late Jerry Falwell. A former colleague at the school remembered him as well.

An Alabama minister who died in June of "accidental mechanical asphyxia" was found hogtied and wearing two complete wet suits, including a face mask, diving gloves and slippers, rubberized underwear, and a head mask, according to an autopsy report.

Investigators determined that Rev. Gary Aldridge's death was not caused by foul play and that the 51-year-old pastor of Montgomery's Thorington Road Baptist Church was alone in his home at the time he died (while apparently in the midst of some autoerotic undertaking). While the Montgomery Advertiser, which first obtained the autopsy records, reported on Aldridge's two wet suits, the family newspaper chose not to mention what police discovered inside the minister's rubber briefs.[Dildo, inserted.]
