Rand Paul understands that the growth of the federal government is out of control.

How long can we keep this nonsense up?

1 in 6 Americans are now on government assistance.

Over 41 million now receive food stamps.

Many Americans pay 45-50% of their income in taxes.

We have troops all over the world including from wars won over 60 years ago. There are 7 countries (Germany, Italy, UK, Japan, Korea, Iran and Afghanistan) where we have at least 10,000 troops stationed.

The federal government is involved in healthcare, retirement programs, income redistribution programs, housing programs, food programs, utility programs, takeovers of formerly public corporations such as GM and will even pay farmers not to grow crops. The Federal government today even tells us what kind of toilets we can use and light bulbs are next.

Social Security is paying out more in benefits than it collects in taxes, 9 years earlier than expected.

The federal government is spending slightly over $30,000 per household.

Annual Budget deficits exceed one trillion dollars and will continue to exceed one trillion.

The current federal debt is 13.5 trillion dollars. Unfunded liabilities are 110 trillion dollars. It is estimated that in 2019 we will be paying more for interest on the debt than we do on our "military and defense".

For every $1.00 the government spends, 41 cents is money we don't have thus the debt is passed on to future generations.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned last week that our rising national debt "poses a national security threat,".

Deficit spending has been supported by republicans and democrats alike. Neither party has made proposals to address our debt, yet our federal debt may be the single greatest danger to future generations.

How long do you think we can keep this nonsense up?

Shouldn't our generation fund our government and not on the backs of future generations?

Rand Paul believes our generation should fund our government, what a noble concept!
