I don't believe that Scott Sanford is a good choice.
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke
Scott Sanford may be a good man, but as an executive pastor at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church I think he happily swept scandals under the rug and allowed an evil doer to harm the flock.
Timothy Spencer Darnell threatened fellow members of Cottonwood Creek Baptist Creek. The McKinney Police had to respond. That family and others left the church.
Darnell stole the church's name to set up a charity. Fraudulent filings were made with the state of Texas listing Tim Darnell's charity, Treasures for the Kingdom, as an integrated auxiliary of the church. In order to protect the church from legal action Scott Sanford authored an Affidavit stating the church and its staff had not given permission for its name to be used and that Cottonwood Creek had no affiliation with Darnell, his charity or his company, Advantage Conferences, and was not on the board of any of the named entities.
Advantage Conferences was yet another one of Darnell's pyramid scams that he promoted to fellow church members. 98% of the Christians that were lured in lost money and many of them lost thousands and thousands of dollars they could not afford to lose. Advantage Conferences was confirmed to be a pyramid scheme when it sued the Better Business Bureau and lost in Summary Judgment.
Darnell also tried to get the church tangled up in his stranger owned life insurance on seniors debacle. That scheme caused terrible harm as not a dime changed hands and 60 Advantage Conferences reps had gotten insurance licenses and devoted months to that bogus program. Darnell is so exceedingly dishonest he tried to get $10,000,000.00 in damages from the BBB in his bogus suit as he claimed the church wouldn't participate in his insurance scam because of the BBB's posting questioning publicly if Advantage Conferences was a pyramid scheme.
The church has had complaints from numerous families about Darnell's activities and they simply sweep them under the rug while valued members leave. Darnell, in a desperate attempt to silence me (a legitimate critic) fabricated allegations of me sending him death threats and stalking his family and the Jack Weinzierl family. When Darnell personally filed a groundless, harassment suit against me all that was proven to be fiction and Darnell once again lost in Summary Judgment
Darnell is still a member in good standing and thus the church puts its members at risk of being scammed and worse allows the Darnells to host a youth bible study at their home. A man with a history of threatening church members, scamming Christians, filing frivolous lawsuits, stealing the church's name and more is loose in the flock. Scott Sanford and John Mark Caton have swept all this under the rug for years. How can Sanford serve the public when he can't keep his church flock safe. There is nothing honest or Christian about knowingly putting folks in harms way. " http://www.realscam.com/f14/cottonwood-creek-... http://www.realscam.com/f14/tim-darnells-trea...
