Visually impaired campers explore Army helicopter
By Todd Martin Special to the Daily Herald The rhythmic chop of 53 feet of helicopter rotor sliced through the warm air and the aircraft slowly rose above the shorn grass pasture as campers and staff members waved and applauded.

These children certainly benefited from this outing to learn more about the Army heliocopter. Maybe it will spark their interest in a future Army career - someday they will graduate from high school and college and would be able to apply for jobs as disabled civilian employees working for the Army, with Civil Rights protections from the ADA and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
