Most of Mexico is just fine.

I recently met U.S. retires who have been living in a small town outside of Guadalajara, Mexico. They loved it there. They said it was not violent and that it even did not get terribly hot.

Right now it's 63 degrees!

The Daily Show did a clip interviewing American seniors who went to Mexico for their fine and cheap health care!

No Mexican "had to come to the U.S."

U.S. residency is not a human right.

you are so clueless, even the hospitals that are part of the medical schools look like something out of an old movie. the only positive thing that can be said about their health care is that most medicines are sold over the counter without a perscription and they really are so much cheaper. so yes, a lot of retirees that are on a coctail of meds can save a lot of money.
the average mex makes maybe $10 a day the poorest social security recipient in mexico recieves about $30 a day and combine that with a spouse and you can live like kings on $20,ooo/yr.
now ask your friend if they feel safe walking the streets of guadalajara? where do they go to renew their papers? i'll bet they don't very often leave their little town by themselves as they are very safe where they are while they make a political family richer spending their American money in their businesses and food stores.

i responded to your comment about not being surprised if she got federal grants by stating that without a ss# you can not get a federal loan or grant. so now you expand the subject to areas that by law they night qualify for.
however i take exception to your accusation that they steal identities. maria and jose are not savy enough to steal identities. and besides that a lot of those #s were not stolen but rather sold. now that does not make it right to use them but don't call them thieves unless you can prove that they stole it.

Watch the Homeless Kids of Orange County on HBO. No one feels sorry for those kids.Their parents work, but it's not enough. They're Americans. There's alot more out there, too. We need to take care of our own. Mexico's people are far from needing hand outs. This is B.S.If we have so much money that we feel the need to save others I'd rather help this little guy. http://iconicphotos.wordpress.com/2009/08/12/...

Calling someone an "undocumented worker" is like calling a street drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist". If 2 people go into a car dealership, one buys the car, and one steals one, according to these "amnesty" people BOTH get to keep their shiny new cars! One gets to pay for both.“He just wanted a better life”. SO DON’T WE ALL! REDICULOUS! ILLEGAL is ILLEGAL! less

first of all, i am not yuor buddy. you expand the conversation to include all undocuments. ok, but stick to the facts. this is specifically about a young lady who was brought her by her parents. if the article is accurate, they came here legally. in the course of time she personally has not been accused of breaking any laws. if you don't wish to educate them then change the law they are not breaking any law by recieving an education at our expense. it is our law.
she/they do not steal identities. so stop calling them theives. simply stick to the facts and don't lump this atudent in with the crud that is ruining our country.

<quoted text>actually if you read the story they all came here legally. they applied for permanant residency 9 years ago based on her grandfather being a citizen. our gov is incapable of expediting paperwork in a timely manner.
if the gov successfully delays for another two years she will have to re-aply as an individual and wait perhaps another 10 years but really as an individual with no country, no job, no resources, no money, she would have no chance.
so now you get a glimpse of one of the underlying problems that immigrants must deal with.
If the government has such a massive backlog of 'immigrant' paperwork perhaps we need to stop all immigration until they can catch up! It's irresponsible and counterproductive to continue adding hundreds of thousands of immigrants per year to the already overburdened system.

read the newes story. they came here legally and then got tied up in the ineffeciency of our gov paperwork. so once again stick to the facts.
what ever you, are she did not break any laws so she is not a criminal.

if it has anything to do with the gov, they will never be caught up.

so since you are the one making the accusations, let's hear the facts as you see them. they came here on visas. they applied for citizenship under the sponsership of their citizen grandfather and the rest is in government bliss. and as the gov delays for what ever reason the time limit is riunning out for this girl. soon it will be impossible for her.
