Why is this worth discussing? Just becauses she's a little rich kid? Come on people, put something worth discussing on here. People from Natchitoches don't even know who her husband to be is.

Then why did you create a thread? You two are the only ones discussing this. This was a wedding announcement that appeared in area newspapers. Things that are in local newspapers are, at times, picked up as "headlines" on the Topix site. You don't always have to share your opinions about them.

Well people in Lafayette know him and his family very well which would be why it is posted in the Lafayette forum from the Lafayette paper. Amazing how that works.

Good for lafayette. My only point is that with all the other people who's wedding announcements get listed in the Natchitoches Times, it seems funny that this is the only one who made it to Topix. I bear no ill will towards the couple, however if one wedding is worth mentioning on topix all weddings should be worth mentioning.

To Ann and Just Wondering,
I would like to start by apologizing to you on behalf of Crystal and I for having a wedding and for the fact that it was covered by a website you frequent. It was never our intention, what with all of the love and excitement, to inconvenience you and your internet life. I guess we just got caught up in the moment...
Just wondering, I do appreciate you saying that you bear no ill will towards us. I, too, would bear no ill will towards a couple of people that have chosen to spend their lives together, especially ones whom I do not know. As for characterizing Crystal as a "rich girl", I would challenge you to pause next time you refer to her simply as that. She is a remarkable woman with a whole lot more than her family's money to offer. In fact, if you ever had the pleasure of meeting her, I am confident that you would feel ashamed for having referred to her so nonchalantly as "rich girl". Unlike you, Crystal actually takes time to get to know people before she judges them or insults them. Thank goodness because if it wasn't for her I would just refer to you as an "internet loser with no life outside of the four walls of a bedroom in his parent's house" and move on.
Furthermore, I can assure you that no strings were pulled, nor any money that changed hands or any effort made whatsoever to have this article placed on "your website".
Ann, all I have to say to you is that you obviously do not know Mrs. Lanell - who is possibly the sweetest lady, next to my own mother, I have ever met. I would venture a guess that she does more for her family and your community in one week that you have mustered in your lifetime. I say this not to insult you but to defend her. Referring to her as a "pill popper" (which is news to me, and trust me I am much closer to her than you) hardly is an accurate depiction. The Causeys are a wonderful family who are a tremendous asset to the Natchitoches community. Having two jerks spout off anonymously on an internet forum about them is a tragedy. Thus, I felt compelled to respond, not on behalf of the Causey family, but on my own behalf.
I sincerely ask that you consider deleting or removing your comments so that neither Crystal nor any of the Causeys find them. Thank you.

Thanks for responding to those jerks that feel they must crack on everything that is posted. I don't know if they make up 5% or 95% of the posters on here, but they are pretty worthless. They is a way to request to topix to have a thread removed. I hope that you would check that out. Good luck!

Why are people even talking about this? Yes Mrs. Lanell is the sweetest person ever. No the Causey family isn't special. They are just a family from nat just like you and me. They are hard working and happen to have done well. It this town that creates a fuss. She is happy to be getting married like any girl and maybe a fuss was made over it. That tends to happen when you know people in this town. There is nothing wrong with it being on this site. Don't let the la de da's on this town get you down. Yes they seem to act like local royalty. Let them it doesn't hurt us. When you get mad it makes you look jealous. Just let her be happy. Congrats to the happy couple.

The fact that you, Trey, had to write this overdrawn letter to defend your new family speaks for itself. Why don't you just ask her grandson how he feels about his own family. Does he know that he was not wanted by them? Does he know that they make his life miserable the way they speak of his father? Does he know that his grandmother is a crazy b who tried to run his father off the road when they were pregnant? Yeah....sounds like normal people to me.( Please note the sarcasm.) Also, I find it interesting that in your wedding write-up, the family listed his last name as Boyd and not what it truly is. How cruel is that to his father and their family! Your mother in law is only fooling herself if she thinks the people in this town don't laugh at her behind her back and think that she is a joke to this community!

Did anyone, who was butthurt that not everyone's engagement announcement was posted, in this thread take the time to notice that it was created by "roboblogger"...umm. ..the robot...that scans online articles and then posts them in appropriate topix forums.

A person didn't do it.

That is why it was in both Natchitoches AND Lafayette forums...most likely it'll be found in the Shongaloo's as well.
