New England, where the Puritans and others sought religious freedom, has surpassed the West Coast as the least religious region in America, according to a new major national survey.

The Puritans fought so hard for Religious Freedom.
That once they recieved it they went over board.

People in New England were having battles over relgions..
New Englan used to be the Religous fanatics haven.
I would asume people finally gave up a long with it they gave up on There Religion also.

Where a majority of liberal minded people live, you will also have a majority of atheist etc.. The two go hand in hand right along with animal lovers who on average are not the most religious of peoples because they are worshipping the things "animals etc" of the earth.

I thought I WAS liberal minded but they are not liberal enough to accept Catholics.
